The European Congress is the highest decision-making body of JEF Europe, convening every two years in a previously selected European city. The Congress elects the President and two Vice Presidents, a Treasurer, 4 members of the executive board as well as 16 directly elected members of the Federal Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following a preparatory webinar for participants of the European Congress, the first day saw attendees participating in the outgoing Federal Committee meeting. This consisted of a detailed report of the outgoing Federal Committee\u2019s term as well as the proposal for the Presidium which is tasked with overseeing the Federal Committees\u2019 meeting. Subsequent to the aforementioned, the former President of JEF Europe, Antonio Argenziano, made his outgoing speech, which was followed by the Democracy Under Pressure Awards Ceremony together with a panel debate on the European Elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second day of the Congress consisted of a vote on JEF Europe\u2019s new President and Executive Board, Federal Committee, Arbitration Board and Auditors for the 2023-2025 mandate were voted upon by all JEF sections. Two of JEF Malta\u2019s members, Nikos Chircop and Julianne Vella, were both elected in as Executive Board Member and Federal Committee Member respectively. Their elections display JEF Malta\u2019s large role and influence on an international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the third and last day, the JEF Europe Resolutions and Policy Documents were voted on, and the Incoming Federal Committee meeting was held, where the new political commissions and task forces were established, and their chairs were voted upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
